SATURN (a play about food) at The Tank was a success!

Check out photos from the show and benefit party, and read the Brooklyn Rail's profile of the show.

Jack and Rhea have inherited a farm. 30 years old and recently married, they move from the city to start anew. All is harmonious at first, until a mountain of books and a handful of magic seeds shake the stability of their natural kingdom, and what was once so simple suddenly turns wild and unpredictable.

What should we eat? Where should it come from? What is natural?
Such questions besiege many of us multiple times a day. Riffing on the myth of Kronos, Jack and the Beanstalk, contemporary agricultural science and the alimentary experiences of couples around the age of 30, SATURN presents a unique theatrical take on these particular conundrums of food, and how they affect our relationships.

The second-draft version of SATURN will tour upstate farming communities this July and will return to NYC in August! Want to support the next iteration of the piece? Donate here.
